Body1 was founded over a decade ago, with a focus on providing people with the health information they needed most.
Our first product was a series of unbranded health communities focused on specific disease and anatomical areas. These communities engaged millions of patients, clinicians and caregivers and became important communications tools for our customers—biopharma, medtech and healthtech leaders. In response to customer demand, we began sharing our coding, content, and digital marketing expertise to deploy and manage world-class product and corporate websites for our customers. Next we developed and launched the best physician-patient matching system on the Internet. As our customers’ needs grew, so did our technology-enabled services.
Now we are the “NearSourced” partner of choice for many life science firms who outsource their external digital initiatives to us. We free them to focus on what they do best- fight disease and save lives. Through out our evolution, our commitment is unchanged – to provide best in class service to both our corporate customers and the physicians, patients, investors and others who utilize the technology we deploy. While Chris’s title says CEO, he really is Body1’s Chief Client Satisfaction Officer. He has founded several technology start-ups, holds multiple global technology patents, sits on several healthcare boards and actively blogs on pediatric genetic conditions. Chris’s career started in sales and marketing at HP, followed by a stint on Wall Street in healthcare finance. He was a founding board member of MassMEDIC, the leading association of medical device companies in New England. Chris is a graduate of both the Harvard Business School (MBA) and Rutgers University (BS) and also was a Rotary Fellow at Sydney University in Australia.
Martin M. Coyne IISenior Business Advisor
Marty helps Body1 think through the strategic issues shaping healthcare technology in the global business climate. Marty has personally led or overseen the "analog to digital" transformations of several major organizations. He has served as Chairman of the Board of Welch Allyn, Lead director of Akamai, Director of OpenPages (sold to IBM), COO of Kodak and Vice Chairman of the Advanced Medical Technology Association (AdvaMed). Marty also served as Chairman of the National Association of Corporate Directors (NACD)’s New Jersey branch and now leads his own consultancy, M.M. Coyne and Associates. Marty holds a degree in pharmacy from Fordham University.
Robert A. DeNobleSenior Business Advisor
Senior Business Advisor Bob guides Body1 in understanding the clinical impact of its work. He is currently the managing partner of RDA Healthcare Consulting. Prior to founding RDA, Bob held a senior position with KPMG LLP, where he led the firm’s behavioral health consulting practice. Prior to that he served as President/CEO of the Marino Center for Integrative Health, Vice President for Operations at Rhode Island Hospital and Associate General Director of Harvard Medical School-affiliated McLean Hospital. Bob also co-founded and chaired the Harvard Business School Health Industry Alumni Association.
Nicos VekiaridesSenior Business Advisor
Nicos advises Body1 on cloud technology development and related strategy and marketing. He is a successful, serial tech entrepreneur. Nicos co-founded and served as CEO at TwinStrata, a data storage company which he grew financed, and sold to EMC. Prior to that Nicos founded Storage Apps, another data storage company which he sold to HP. Some of his other roles have included VP of Cloud Technology at EMC, VP at Incipient and General Manager at HP. Nicos is also an active partner in the Mentors Fund and a director at the 3-21 Foundation. He holds degrees in engineering from both Carnegie-Mellon and MIT.
